Gosh Polishes: Hot Pink FLAMINGO N° 569

Those 8 Gosh nail polishes were all sent to me by my sweet talented youtube friend Tanja ^_^ you can check her channel here.
In italy they don't sell this brand so she was so kind to let me try some of them.

the colors and names from the very left are:
566         Metallic blue
540                  Ocean
548         Green hawaii
568      Metallic purple
541               Gasoline
02                  Pearl
562           Magic star
(note: the hot pink one is not included in the picture above)

Today i want to review the hot pink pastel one called Flamingo n° 569

This lovely pink is so intence and girly, it's a pastel color with no shimmers or glitters (i love pastel colors!) the texture is so smooth and with 2 coats you get the perfect color.

pictures taken with flash, on natural light this color looks just a bit darker.

i will soon review the other colors.

Kiko Nail Lacquer / Polish: Red Passion N° 238

Kiko is an Italian cosmetic company that has a huge variety of polishes beyond a lot of beautiful make-up products and they are so good and affordable.
I'm Going to talk about their polishes; one bad thing (if we can call it a bad thing) about them is that they don't have names but only numbers!

This Color is n° 238
It's an intense red passion color, it's so vibrant and RED ^_^

Don't you think it's so sexy and fierce?!? ;-)
it would look great on longer nails though!

(those 2 photos above were taken on natural light & artifical light)

SHINY NAIL POLISH: RIMMEL LYCRA PRO

As the title says, i want to talk about this rimmel london nail polish as the most shiny nail polish i've ever tryed!

a while ago i was looking for a matte topcoat and i found an offer on Rimmel polishes: "get one Rimmel Pro nail polish and you get a matt topcoat for free!"
Since i never had any kind of Rimmel lacquer i chose the first color that crossed my eyes without paying much attention to it (my main interest was the matt topcoat).
When i tryed it i was so amaized by it's shine, i don't know if it's the color effect or if it's the product itself, also the texture is reaaaaally smooth and another particular thing is the flat/wide brush that helps getting a good application.

The polish is a very very dark eggplant/aubergin brownish color, n° 416 night flight
(didn't find it among the list on their website though)
unfortunately there isn't a wide range of colors! -only 16 shades-

i also wouldn't say "mistake free application", the wide brush does help getting a more precise application, but perfection is achieved through practice anyway ;-)

CRACKLE NAIL POLISH: Graffiti by Layla

Today i want to talk about the cracked or crackle nail polishes, those polishes got itno the market on late 2010 and in few month alot of brands came out with those particular polishes..
The first time i saw them i wanted to have them in my collection so bad, but here in italy the only brand that used to sell them was the brand "LAYLA" and they cost 9€ each (around 12$) too much, but couldn't resist trying them so i got 3 colors, pink, black and white and then a friend of mine gifted me a red graffiti color.

here are the pictures of the ones i got and the little book of the presentation:

what's strange about these varnishes is that they tend to dry istantly once applyed (need to be very fast) and they cracks while drying, it's a nice effect and really funny to watch how they work.
they have a matt finish so you can either keep it in a matt finish or apply a shiny top-coat!

I applyed a matt green color underneth the graffiti black polish.

One thing to be carefull of when applying the crackle polish is to make sure that the base color have to be completely dry either way the risk is that even the base color will crack with the crackle polish
here is a close up picture that show the bad resault:

MATT NAIL POLISHES

Since the first time i saw matt nail polishes i wanted to try them, the only matt polishes i found here in italy were DEBORAH and i must say that i was very saticfied with them; I got 4 colors, in light pastel pink, light pastel green, black & dark blu

My favourite out of the four is the dark blu one, but i also like the light green one even though green is not a color that i like very much.
Of course when applying a matt color you can't apply a topcoat to seal the polish unless you put a matt topcoat, and to get the best resault out of the color it's better to apply a matt base coat too.
